Despite the pouring rain, a Pearl River County Corporal went above and beyond to help out a stranded citizen.
As the rain came down, Corporal Rony Polizzi was captured on camera pushing a disabled vehicle off the roadway, ensuring the safety of the stranded driver and keeping the roads clear for other motorists.
He wasn’t asking to be recognized, but someone snapped a quick photo of him through their rainy window and shared it with the department.
They wanted to recognize and thank him for going the extra mile.
Corporal Rony Polizzi of the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department exemplified the spirit of “Protect and Serve”.
His actions not only helped avoid potential traffic issues but also showed the dedication of law enforcement to their community, rain or shine.
