Sometimes the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference in somebody’s day.
The Hattiesburg Police Department shared that kids from the Hattiesburg Police Athletic League made Thanksgiving cards for residents at “The Claiborne” in Hattiesburg.
The Claiborne is an assisted living/senior community.
Hattiesburg officer Jordan Bass used to work at the assisted living facility and organized the event to bring a smile and warm the hearts of the residents.
Officer Bass hopes this will help teach the kids the importance of giving back.
“Having done this kind of work, I know how lonely it can be, especially this time of year,” Officer Bass said. “I wanted to bring something positive to the residents and teach the kids how fulfilling it is to give thanks and take the time to spread joy and positivity.”
