STEPPING UP TO SERVE: Bay St. Louis First Responders Help Recently Widowed Woman

Morgan Howard

A well-loved woman in the Bay St. Louis community recently lost her husband.

Mrs. Shirley Necaise has been a lifetime supporter of the Bay St. Louis community and has contributed in so many ways to help others.

Mrs. Necaise has been doing alterations for the community for many years.

She has sewn a few thousand prom dresses for kids, altered and repaired uniforms for first responders, the police department, and military service members, and so many other things.

To show their gratefulness towards Mrs. Necaise, First Responders, the Bay St. Louis Police Department, the Fire Department, and Favre Towing came out to her property to clean up and do some work.

They cleaned up a shed, removed railroad ties, debris and limbs, and cut her grass. They also fixed the fence around her swimming pool.

“We can never pay her back enough for what she has done for the community but we enjoyed giving her a little back on this day.”
