The Starkville Police Department announced the recent arrest of two individuals that happened Wednesday, November 8.
21-year-old Eric McCarter, Jr. (of Starkville) and 21-year-old Ashley Evans (of Starkville) were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of a stolen firearm.
Officers initially responded to the home in Collegiate Heights, 201 Lynn Lane, for a disturbance involving a weapon.
McCarter is out on felony bond for two accessory after-the-fact charges related to a 2021 aggravated assault(shooting) in Brookville Garden.
Both individuals were transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail.
