On Friday night, September 20, Starkville Police arrested 42-year-old Draper Manning, of Starkville, for residential burglary, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, and disorderly conduct – failure to comply. Manning was apprehended on Long Street after fleeing on foot from officers.
According to police, Manning stole a vehicle from an apartment complex on Long Street, drove to another complex on Louisville Street, and burglarized a home that was occupied at the time.
Authorities confirmed that Manning and the victims knew each other.
Manning was transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail.
