According to the Vicksburg Daily News, a man was fatally shot Tuesday night.
Police Chief Penny Jones told the VDN that a black SUV drove by and someone inside called to a person walking on Martha at Harrison. According to reports, the person in the vehicle called to the pedestrian by name and told them to watch themselves.
The vehicle came back by shortly thereafter, opening fire and shot the victim, who collapsed on Cherry Street.
So far the name of the deceased has not been released, nor is there information on a suspect or a motive.
