On March 7, officers with the Tupelo Police Department responded to the Ida B. Wells Street area in reference to Domestic Violence.
When officers arrived, they took a suspect into custody.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect had two previous misdemeanor convictions for Domestic Violence within the last seven years.
On March 8, 28-year-old Christopher J. Horton (Tupelo) was charged with Domestic Violence 3rd Offense.
On 03-08-24, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Horton to be held on a $50,000 bond. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
