The Criminal Investigstion Division (CID) of the Pontoto County Sheriff’s Department recently arrested a man and charged him with Grand Larceny.
The incident happened Sunday afternoon, June 2, when 30-year-old Devin Stewart was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, sometime between March 3, and March 4, a perpetrator stole a 6×12 utility trailer around the 1500 block of Highway 9 north.
On Sunday afternoon June 2, a citizen contacted a patrol deputy and advised there was a stolen trailer at 26 Bridgeman Loop.
The patrol deputy and CID went, to the residence and observed the stolen trailer.
The occupant of the residence was given the Miranda Warning and questioned about the trailer. The individual did not answer how or why he had the trailer.
The perpetrator was arrested and transported to the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department Adult Detention Center and booked in.
He is now awaiting a hearing before a Pontotoc County Justice Court Judge to have bond set.
