On Thursday, March 14, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Hattiesburg Police responded to a report of an armed robbery that happened in the 6400 block of Hwy 49.
When officers arrived, they were advised that two males entered the store and approached the counter, displaying handguns. The suspects stole multiple items from behind the counter then fled the scene.
Hattiesburg Police were able to locate the suspects, both juveniles, at their residence on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. The juveniles were taken into custody and confessed to their involvement in the incident.
One 16-year-old male was charged with one (1) count of armed robbery, and the other juvenile, a 17-year-old male, was charged with three (3) counts of armed robbery: one (1) count from the aforementioned incident and two (2) counts for his involvement in two separate armed robbery incidents that occurred earlier this year.
Both have been charged as adults and have been booked into Forrest County Jail.
