The Meridian Police Department is investigating the death of a man found lying in a yard in the 2100 block of 41st Avenue. MPD received a call about the incident around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased individual, whose identity has not yet been released.
The body has been sent to the crime lab for further examination to determine the cause of death.
Investigators will assess the findings to decide the nature of the investigation moving forward.
Acting Captain Dareall Thompson of the Meridian Police Department stated that family members and others connected to the case are currently being interviewed.
