A Pearl businessman has been arrested after authorities served a search warrant on his business.

According to Rankin County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Paul Holley, on Thursday investigators from RCSO, Brandon Police Department, and the Pearl Police Department executed a search warrant on Generator Power Solutions in Pearl. The search warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation into fraudulent activities of business owner Jason Frost, he said.

Investigator Fred Lovett said the case came to the attention of RCSO when a victim reported that he had ordered a Generac Generator in 2021 and still had not received it.

According to the complainant, he had done a contract with Frost and made a down payment, and since that time has gotten excuses as to why he didn’t have it yet.

Lovett said he’s not the only complainant, but that similar complaints were found in surrounding jurisdictions.

Frost was arrested and transported to the Rankin County Jail where he is charged with false pretense. Additional charges are pending, and police are speaking with multiple other victims.

Rankin County District Attorney Bubba Bramlett will bring Frost before Rankin County Court Judge David Morrow for an initial appearance.
