On April 11, the Oxford Police Department arrived at the 150th block of Highway 7 for a report of property damage.

A car’s window was shattered and things were stolen from the glove box. Upon investigation, 23-year-old Jaya Wiley, of Oxford, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and 36-year-old Colan Kemp, of Water Valley, MS, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and Burglary.

Wiley was taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and was issued a $4,000 bond and a hold was placed by Drug Court. Kemp was taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and was issued a $13,500 bond and a hold was placed by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
