The Oxford Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 400 block of Bramlett Boulevard.

Upon reviewing nearby security camera footage, officers saw a male, later identified as 46-year-old Preston Lee Goodwin, of Courtland, MS, entering the vehicle and driving away.

Detectives tracked the stolen vehicle to Panola County, where they also discovered another vehicle stolen from Water Valley, MS.

Goodwin was charged with felony motor vehicle theft and faces additional charges from surrounding jurisdictions related to this case. A Municipal Court judge set his bond.

The Oxford Police Department extends its gratitude to the Panola County Sheriff’s Office and the Water Valley Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
