On May 7, the Oxford Police Department (OPD) received a walk-in report regarding a stolen firearm from a vehicle.
On June 25, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department notified OPD that they had 21-year-old Antavious Dukes, of Oxford, in custody for possession of the stolen firearm.
Dukes was charged with Commercial Burglary by OPD. He appeared before a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing and was issued a $20,000 bond.
His bond was revoked by County Court due to a previous felony charge, and he is now being held without bond.
Oxford Police Department thanked the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in the case and their efforts to keep the community safe.
