On August 5, at approximately 2:30 PM, Oxford Police responded to a report of a purse theft from a car in a parking lot located in the 2500 block of West Jackson Avenue.
After reviewing security footage, officers identified the suspect as 20-year-old Jaden DaMarkeon Miller of Oxford, MS.
Miller was seen reaching through a slightly rolled-down car window to take the purse. He was arrested shortly after the incident. The stolen purse and its contents were recovered and returned to the victim.
Miller has been charged with Auto Burglary and is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center.
His bond was set by the Municipal Court Judge.
