In the early hours of August 17, the Smith County Sheriff’s Office and Raleigh Police Department responded to a shooting at a Chevron gas station in Raleigh.

Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old male victim with injuries sustained during the incident.

The suspect, identified as Kentario Tyre Campbell, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

After a thorough investigation, Campbell was apprehended around 6:00 a.m. and charged with aggravated assault. He is currently being held at the Smith County Jail, awaiting his initial court appearance.

Authorities have stated that this was an isolated incident and are continuing their investigation. They urge anyone with information to come forward.
