One person was taken into custody in Grenada County for the murder of Cleoda Mayweather back in September.
According to Grenada County Sheriff Rolando Fair, on Friday, October 27, the US Marshall Service took Janilia Wright into custody for the murder of Cleoda Mayweather, whose body was found in Tallahatchie County back in September.
US Marshall Service and Jones County Sheriff’s Department then attempted to apprehend Corderrius Williams in Laurel for the murder of Cleoda Mayweather.
Police said that Corderrius barricaded himself inside the house where he took his own life.
Janilia’s bond was set at $500,000 by Justice Court Judge Marascalco.
This is an ongoing investigation.
