Authorities issued a Silver Alert over the weekend for missing Silver Creek man Gregory Donell Varnado.
According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Varnado was last seen Wednesday, August 15, around 3 p.m. on Verious Lewis Lane. He may have been driving a blue 2020 Chevrolet Equinox with Mississippi tag 114 LWA.
Gregory Varnado is 5’9″, around 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Lawrence County Sheriff Ryan Everett says investigators have attempted to ping Varnado’s phone, but it appears to be off, and efforts to locate his car through On-Star have not been successful.
“We would all like to hear from him so that we know he is ok,” Everett said.
Everett said Varnado and his vehicle have been entered into NCIC, and authorities will be notified if he is seen by a tag reader or if he encounters law enforcement.
