A police chase that began in Simpson County ended in Richland Wednesday night.
Two people were taken into custody once the pursuit ended on Highway 49 near Carrier Boulevard, officials said. Police began to tail the vehicle when they noticed it was stolen out of Louisiana.
Mississippi Highway Patrol, Simpson County Sheriff’s Department, the Richland Police Department, Florence Police Department, and Pearl Police Department were all involved in some way with the pursuit and the arrest.
The suspects will be held at the Simpson County Detention Center.
