On Thursday, August 15, detectives in Jackson, launched an investigation following a report of a kidnapping involving two young children.

Missing and Endangered Alert Issued for Missing 4 And 5-Year-Old From Jackson

The next day, an Endangered Child Alert was issued for 6-year-old Montravious Rattler and 4-year-old Jatavis Rattler after their grandmother and custodial guardian reported that the children had been kidnapped by their biological mother, 25-year-old Montreanna F. Rattler.

Several hours after the alert was issued, Montreanna Rattler brought both children to the Jackson Police Department (JPD) Headquarters.

She was arrested on charges of kidnapping. The two children were safely returned to their grandmother’s custody, and their names were removed from the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
