Monday Weather: Foggy AM, Rainy PM

Mary Apel

Areas of dense fog reducing visibilities to below a quarter of a mile are likely through this morning across southern and eastern portions of the area. Patchy dense fog is possible elsewhere across the area.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the area this afternoon into this evening. An isolated severe storm capable of producing damaging wind gusts and quarter sized hail will be possible in the southwest by late afternoon. Highs will be warmer than normal and range from the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Widespread showers and scattered storms are expected to increase overnight into Tuesday morning, as a storm system tracks east across the region. Look for lows to fall into the low and middle 60s.
