Aerial Antwanette Harris was 20 years old when she went missing in 2020.

She was last seen with her boyfriend, Emmanuel Ford, on July 1 of that year. Authorities say she was walking on Main Street in Rosedale around 10:30 p.m., and from there, nobody seems to know what happened next.

Harris, who goes by the name “Wankie,” was last seen wearing a white sports bra, blue jogging pants, and black Jordans.

In a 2020 video on YouTube by Memphis Jookin Sipp Way interviewing family members, Harris’ mother said she didn’t have any plans to go anywhere that her family knew about. Online databases say Harris didn’t have tattoos, but her mother said she had a six-pointed star on one arm and her brother’s name on the other, and her grandfather’s name, “Mack,” on her right shoulder.

She had also been on medication for mental health issues, her mother said.

Harris’ mother said there wasn’t an organized search for her until July 19.

According to family members, Ford was picked up at one point and interviewed. There is an Emanuel Ford who is currently in the custody of MDOC, serving 8 years on a charge of aggravated assault – domestic involvement after pleading guilty to assaulting another woman with a knife, but it is not certain if that is the same Emanuel Ford. He was indicted in Bolivar Circuit Court in 2021, according to court documents, and sentenced in October 2022.

The Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the investigation into Harris’ disappearance.
