Teamwork between Ridgeland and Madison police and Highway Patrol helped bring home a child safely on Tuesday.
According to Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers, his department got an alert from Highway Patrol about a possible parental kidnapping from Louisiana.
One of Ridgeland’s police officers was able to locate a vehicle that matched the description of the BOLO.
The officer waited for assistance from other units to prevent a pursuit.
Working together with Madison Police Department, Ridgeland officers were able to stop the vehicle in Madison and find the child safe.
