At least seven people are dead and at least 37 have been hospitalized after a bus crash in Warren County.

According to troopers, At 12:40 AM, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 near Bovina in Warren County.

A 2018 Volvo Commercial Passenger Bus traveling westbound left the roadway and overturned. Six passengers were pronounced deceased on the scene, and one died at Merit Health Hospital in Vicksburg.

Another 37 Passengers were transported to different hospitals in Vicksburg and Jackson with unknown injuries. The co-driver was not transported.

More information will be released pending the notification of next of kin.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division.
