The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened on July 27, involving the Gulfport Police Department.
Officers were responding to a call on Church Street in Gulfport when they encountered an armed individual.
The officers discharged their weapons, seriously injuring the subject, who was then transported to a local hospital. The officers did not sustain any serious injuries.
