Morgan Howard

Mississippi Animal Rescue League posted on Friday saying they are critically low on food for the animals in their care.
MARL is an open intake shelter and they receive hundreds of animals a week. They said on Facebook that they desperately need dry dog food, puppy food, and kitten food.
If you aren’t local, you can make a donation online on their website or online through Amazon or Chewy.

MARL is the largest open door animal shelter in Central Mississippi. They have placed more than 62,000 animals. They are located in Jackson, Mississippi.
According to their website,
“The Mississippi Animal Rescue League, MARL, is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals. Chartered in 1969, we are the largest full service animal welfare organization in Central Mississippi providing care and basic medical services for thousands of homeless and unwanted animals each year. We do not receive any general operating funds from any state or federal agency. When you support MARL – whether by making a donation, volunteering your time or by spreading the work about the vital work we do- you support our dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, and burros, and the people we also exist to serve. We are a voice for animals who cannot speak for themselves.”
