According to the Tupelo Police Department, a Mantachie man was arrested for Sexual Battery of a Child under 14 years old.
On August 28, Tupelo police contacted 48-year-old Joel Alan Nicholes at 510 N. Commerce Street, Lee County Jail, after turning himself in on two active capias warrants.
Nichols had two active Circuit Court Warrants for Sexual Battery of a Child Under the Age of 14 from a 2022 case.
He was arrested for the warrant and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Nichols bond was set at $25,000 by Circuit Court.
