According to Sharkey County Coroner Robert Barfield, a man was found frozen to death in Sharkey County in a field near an elementary school.
The man was 32 years old and appeared to have died from hypothermia.
He was identified as Stefan Thompson from Rolling Fork, Mississippi.
Barfield said it appears Thompson was likely walking during the winter storm and ended up in the field. He had been staying with relatives at the time of his death.
