Police are investigating the death of a man in a Natchez motel room.

The Natchez Democrat is reporting that the body of a man was found in the Terrace Motel around lunch time on Saturday.

Police say it looks as though Taurus West, 43, died of natural causes. He was found when a friend was trying to get in touch with him and couldn’t, so they went to check on him at the motel.

“There was nothing that we saw to support foul play,” Detective Jerry Ford told the Democrat. “But just to be cautious, I have asked the coroner to confirm some things.”
