UPDATE: He has been identified as 34-year-old Colby Alan Towles from Olive Branch.

He is wanted on two counts of Aggravated Assault on a police officer.

He could be driving a silver 2020 Ford King Ranch-Lariat Platinu Model F 250 Super Duty.

The most current tag police have on Towles is MS 1AP2424.

On Monday, March 11, officers with the Olive Branch Police Department initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 302 WB near the intersection of Craft-Goodman Frontage Road.

While conducting the traffic stop, an unknown subject on a motorcycle approached the stop and began yelling at officers.

He then drove away headed west on Hwy 302.

The subject made a U-turn onto Eastbound 302.

Once he was across from the officers on the traffic stop, the suspect opened fire on officers.

One officer returned fire and the subject fled the scene eastbound on Hwy 302.

No officers were injured.

This incident remains an active and open investigation in conjunction with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

A photo was released of the suspect. He is described as a white male, possibly in his mid-thirties with a beard and mustache and short, sandy brown hair.

The motorcycle is described as a dark gray Harley Davidson Road Glide.
