Man Charged With Voyeurism After Incident In Flowood Target Dressing Room

Morgan Howard

On April 3, at around 2 p.m., officers responded to Target (170 Promenade Blvd) about a male peering over the dressing room walls at a woman trying on clothes.

Before officers arrived, the suspect left the scene. Witnesses saw the man get into a silver vehicle and snapped a photo of the tag number.

The victim stated to officers that she was in the dressing room trying on clothes when she heard unusual noises in the next stall.

She looked up and saw a man looking over the dressing room wall, staring at her.

The male ran out of the dressing room and exited the store, but not before multiple witnesses were able to see him and give a full description of him.

Through the investigation, officers were able to identify 24-year-old Jamerious Funchess of Kosciusko, MS as the suspect.

This was backed by at least three witnesses confirming Funchess as the male running out of the dressing room.

On April 5, 2024, Funchess turned himself into Flowood police and was charged with Voyeurism, a felony in Mississippi. He will be housed at Rankin County Jail with a $20,000 bond.
