A man was arrested after a vape shop was robbed in Starkville.
On Thursday, at 12:43 a.m., Starkville police arrested 26-year-old Joseph Whitfield (from Starkville) for armed robbery.
The robbery happened at 8:32 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21st, at Starkville Smoke and Vape, 610 Highway 12. The suspect was armed with a handgun and no injuries were reported.
The Starkville Police Department said,
“The quick and safe resolution wouldn’t have been possible without the combined efforts of the Starkville Police Department Patrol, Investigations, and SWAT, along with the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, we appreciate the local businesses who assisted us with important information.”
Whitfield remains in the Oktibbeha County Jail.
