On Sunday, May 12, at approximately 6:36 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 61 in Wilkinson County.

A 2013 Acura TL driven by 39-year-old Robin McCastle of Ferriday, LA, traveled north on Highway 61 when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.

The passenger of the Acura, 68-year-old Patricia Williamson of Sicily Island, LA, received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
