Jury selection begins today in the trial of Carly Gregg, a Rankin County teen accused of shooting her parents.
Gregg, who was 14 at the time, allegedly killed her mother, Ashley Smylie, and injured her stepfather, Heath Smylie, at the family’s Brandon home in March.
If jury selection finishes in time, opening arguments will be made Monday afternoon.
The trial, which is being held in Rankin County Circuit Court, is expected to take all week.
