Jones County Woman Missing After Mobile Home Fire Found Safe

UPDATE: She has been found safe!
Sandra Buckingham was found safe on Wednesday, September 27.
Jones County Sergeant Lance Williams and Deputy Bryn Jones were searching an abandoned home just south of #80 Boleware Road when a passerby,  Mary Ann Carr, located Ms. Buckingham partially obscured in the wood line down the road from the abandoned residence.
JCSD personnel had been searching the area since shortly after Ms. Buckingham was reported missing this morning following a devastating fire at her residence on Boleware Road./

The Jones County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a missing person following a residential mobile home fire on Wednesday morning at 58 Boleware Road in the Johnson Community.
72-year-old Sandra “Sandy” Buckingham is described as a white female, approximately 5’ 3” in height, weighing approximately 180 lbs., with reddish/gray hair and blue/green eyes possibly wearing a long skirt, unknown color.
Firefighters with Johnson Fire & Rescue searched the destroyed mobile home and were unable to find her.
Ms. Buckingham suffers from a medical condition that may impair her judgment.
There is no known direction of travel and Ms. Buckingham does not have an operational cell phone.
