The Jackson Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened Sunday afternoon in the 1600 block of Raymond Road.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting and found a 60-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

His identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
