The Jackson Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Wednesday in the 100 block of Cedars of Lebanon.

Police responded to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting and discovered the victim, who had been shot.

Tragically, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
