Jackson police are looking into a Thursday homicide, according to a release early this morning.

JPD spokesman Tommie Brown said in a release that police got the call that a shooting had occurred in the 500 block of Lawrence Road. Detectives learned that avictim was fatally shot at this location.

Freddie Adams was pronounced deceased on scene. His next of kin has been notified.
