The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department has put out an alert that two inmates have walked off from the work center.
Inmate workers, Anthony Peavy and Frisco Lyons escaped the Hinds County Work Center on the County Farm while on a work detail.
The Raymond Police Department said that the two men escaped from the Penal Farm Work Center in Raymond at approximately 11:15 this morning.
According to Sheriff Tyree Jones, Anthony Peavy was in prison on the following charges: Recovered Stolen Vehicle, Convicted Felon with Concealed Weapon, and Auto Burglary.
Frisco Lyons was in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance with a Firearm and Contraband In Penal Institution.
