A woman has been arrested in connection with a Tuesday afternoon shooting in Hattiesburg.

According to Hattiesburg Police Department, around 1:15 p.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting on William Carey Parkway at the Pine Haven Apartments.

Police say two individuals had been shot and had left the scene in a personal vehicle headed for the hospital.

Shortly after the shooting, Decantra Deloach, 35, of Hattiesburg, was taken into custody without incident at her residence on Montague Boulevard.

Deloach has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault in connection to the shooting at Pine Haven Apartments. The two people that were shot during the incident are being treated for their injuries.

According to HPD, the fight involved all women, and stemmed from an ongoing argument between juveniles.

Deloach is being booked into the Forrest County Jail.
