Hattiesburg police are searching for a man believed to have been involved in the shooting of his wife.

A release from Hattiesburg Police Department says police responding to a disturbance call on West 7th Street on Sunday found a woman who had been injured in a shooting. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators on the case developed the victim’s husband, 50-year-old Bert Terrell Bell, as a suspect.

There is a domestic violence – aggravated assault warrant for his arrest in connection to the incident.

Bell could be driving a dark colored Nissan Maxima with Mississippi tag #FRF 9531.
