A man has been arresed in Hattiesburg in connection with a commercial burglary.

On Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Hattiesburg Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 1700 block of Hardy Street.

The same business had been burglarized the night before, with Ellis Guy Williams, 26, of Hattiesburg, as the primary suspect.

When officers arrived at the scene on the night of Feb. 1, they began canvassing the area for Williams, who already had an active warrant for commercial burglary from the previous night. Officers soon found Williams at the far end the property.

Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of commercial burglary and booked into the Forrest County Jail.
