Greenville Fire Department Puts Our Fire At Home

The Greenville Fire Department put out a fire at a home on South California Street yesterday.
According to the fire department, they were called around 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
While en route, Command 2 advised that heavy smoke was showing in that area. Command 1 then dispatched Rescue 2 to respond for manpower.
Upon arrival, Rescue 7 reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the carport area and rear of the house.
Rescue 7 quickly deployed 1¾ attack line to enter the house and began extinguishment while Rescue 2 secured a water supply.
The fire was contained to the carport area, kitchen, and rear bedroom. There was heavy fire damage to the carport, kitchen, and rear bedroom.
The fire appeared to have started in the kitchen.
