According to WTVA, a garbage truck worker was killed after being attacked by a dog and then accidentally run over by the garbage truck.
The incident happened in Lowndes County Wednesday morning.
31-year-old Jonirus Davis was an employee at Golden Triangle Waste Services.
The accident happened on Hanson Drive while the garbage truck was backing down a lane.
Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department said at least one dog attacked the worker, causing him to fall off the garbage truck.
WTVA reports that the driver of the truck didn’t see Davis fall and accidentally ran over him.
