Extremely dangerous heat will continue this weekend with heat indices 110-115 degrees. For areas along and south of I-20 as well as those along and west of I-55, several days in a row of dangerous heat are likely. Heat related illnesses remain likely with prolonged outdoor exposure. Frequent cooling and hydration breaks are recommended when working outdoors.
Thunderstorms are possible today, mainly north and east. Mostly sunny conditions continue for areas to the south and west and it will be hot with highs ranging from the low 90s to low 100s.
Tonight will be partly cloudy and temperatures will generally fall into the mid to upper 70s.
