Four Suspects Arrested in Vehicle Burglary Spree In Starkville

Early on June 23rd, at approximately 1:47 a.m., officers from the Starkville Police Department responded to reports of individuals burglarizing vehicles at The Pines Manufactured Home and RV Community, located at 1000 Louisville Street.

Four auto burglary suspects were apprehended on the scene.

The suspects, identified as Shy Pittman (18, Starkville), Montrikius Idom (18, Louisville), Jermarium Yates (19, Louisville), and a 16-year-old juvenile male, were taken into custody after a coordinated perimeter was established by the responding officers. During the operation, two firearms reported stolen in Louisville, MS, were recovered.

Charges filed against the suspects include:

  1. Shy Pittman (18, Starkville): Possession of a stolen firearm, eight counts of auto burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and disorderly conduct.
  2. Montrikius Idom (18, Louisville): Possession of a stolen firearm and eight counts of auto burglary.
  3. Jermarium Yates (19, Louisville): Eight counts of auto burglary.
  4. Juvenile Male (16): Eight counts of auto burglary and curfew violation.
