On Monday, June 3, at approximately 10:48 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting incident at Tunica Courts Apartments located at 2661 Old Highway 61 N.
Source: Tunica Co. SOSheriff’s deputies and first responders were dispatched to the scene. When deputies arrived, they found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite the efforts of Pafford emergency medical personnel to treat her on-site, the victim succumbed to her injuries. She was pronounced deceased by the Tunica County Coroner and has been identified as 34-year-old Brenda Miller, of Robinsonville, Mississippi.
As of today, June 5, 2024, the following individuals have been arrested and charged:

- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within Populated Area
- Possession of Stolen Firearm
- Carrying of a Concealed Weapon
Dequaveon Spears (21) of Tunica:
- Murder
- Attempted Murder (2 counts)
- Shooting into a Motor Vehicle
- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within Populated Area
Jaylin Liddell (17) of Tunica:
- 2nd Degree Murder
- Attempted Murder (2 counts)
- Drive-by Shooting
- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within Populated Area
DeShaun Clayborn (16) of Tunica:
- 2nd Degree Murder
- Attempted Murder (2 counts)
- Drive-by Shooting
- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within Populated Area
