Four Arrested After Large Amount Of Meth Found In Vehicle In Pearl River County

On Wednesday, March 6, around 9:30 p.m., Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Patrol Deputies and Narcotics Investigators were investigating possible drug activity in the area of Silver Run Rd. near Silver Run Crossroads in Pearl River County.
During the investigation, investigators identified suspects 34-year-old Timothy Campbell, 22-year-old Kayleigh Smith, and 41-year-old Tyrell Young. Investigators attempted to make contact with the suspects, but the suspects fled into a wooded area on foot.
A distribution amount of suspected methamphetamine was recovered during a probable cause search of the vehicle the suspects left abandoned.
Based on the evidence recovered, warrants were secured for the arrest of the suspects. The suspects were later located and arrested.
Smith was charged with Hindering Prosecution.
Campbell was charged with Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Young was charged with Conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
On Tuesday, March 12, Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Narcotic Investigators and Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics arrested 51-year-old Eric Gabriel at his home located on Henleyfield-McNeill Rd.
Gabriel had several arrest warrants for selling controlled substances in Pearl River County.
The warrants and Gabreil’s subsequent arrest were the culmination of a year-long investigation conducted by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
During the investigation, investigators purchased large quantities of suspected methamphetamine and other controlled substances from Gabriel.
