According to WTVA, a former art teacher at Water Valley High School is free on bond after she was arrested over an accusation that she sent inappropriate pictures of herself to a student.
She was working as a teacher at the time of the allegations.
27-year-old Emily Swinkowski was charged with Enticement of a Child and Child Exploitation.
WTVA reports that District Attorney Jay Hale said police opened an investigation into the matter several weeks ago after the allegation arose that she sent inappropriate photos to a 16-year-old student.
Another student at the school found out what happened and told the principal. The principal then called the police.
Swinkowski resigned from her job and turned herself in to the police.
Her bond was set at $50,000.
