Anitta Taylor has been charged with murder.

According to Natchez Police Chief Cal Green, on Thursday night, around 10:42 p.m., officers responded to a call at 409 Watts Ave. They were called to assist an ambulance that had responded to the address.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 77-year-old Pete Taylor lying on the floor with a head laceration and cuts on his arms and legs.

Taylor’s body was discovered by his juvenile grandson, who called 911 after coming home.

Chief Green said that authorities are questioning his 31-year-old daughter, Anitta Taylor, in connection with the man’s death.

The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
